The short version

Crisp Guide is a tool to help you store food better, not a food safety authority. Our storage guidance is primarily sourced from the USDA FoodKeeper database, and we've worked hard to make it accurate, but please use your own judgment with food.

You don't need an account to use the app. If you create one, your data is yours. We store it securely, don't sell it, and you can delete it anytime. Crisp Guide Pro unlocks AI-powered features — including photo and receipt import and AI recipe ideas — and is available as a paid auto-renewing subscription on iOS, with a free trial for eligible new subscribers.

We're a small team building something we care about. These terms exist to set clear expectations on both sides, not to be one-sided or heavy-handed. If something ever feels off, reach us at [email protected].

1. Acceptance of these terms

By continuing past the welcome screen or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Crisp Guide.

These terms form a legal agreement between you and Dead Earth Design, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), the company behind Crisp Guide, based in Los Angeles, California.

2. What Crisp Guide is

Crisp Guide is a grocery storage app that helps you track fresh food, log grocery hauls, access storage guidance, and generate AI-powered recipe ideas from what's in your kitchen. Some features require a free account; AI-powered features — including photo and receipt import and AI recipe ideas — require a Crisp Guide Pro account. Storage guidance and AI-generated content in this app are informational only — see Sections 5 and 6 for our food safety and AI disclaimers.

3. Eligibility and your account

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have the consent of a parent or guardian to use Crisp Guide. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Account tiers

Crisp Guide offers three levels of access. Basic is free. Crisp Guide Pro is a paid auto-renewing subscription on iOS that unlocks AI-powered features. See Section 4 for subscription details.

• No account — you can browse general storage information and build grocery hauls in the current session, but nothing is saved or transmitted.
• Basic account — you can save and manage grocery hauls. An account requires a valid email address and a secure authentication method. Free, with no cost.
• Crisp Guide Pro — includes everything in Basic, plus AI-powered haul creation via photo or receipt analysis, AI recipe ideas generated from your haul, and the ability to share your grocery hauls with another user. On iOS, Pro requires an active paid subscription (offered as monthly or annual plans, with a free trial for eligible new subscribers). See Section 4 for details.
